But playing bingo with young children can be tricky, listening and following directions is tough!
I’ve had the most luck playing bingo with small groups of children.
Playing bingo with small groups is more cost effective because you don’t use as much ink printing mats, and you don’t have to buy as many manipulatives.
Bingo is a great way to introduce young children to games because there are few rules and each player has his or her own game board.

Start by giving one winter bingo mat to each child in your small group.
Next, place the manipulatives you will use as bingo chips in the center of the table so all of the children can easily reach them. I used winter themed mini-erasers, but you can use whatever works best for you and your kids.
For the black and white version, give crayons or one Do-a-Dot marker to each child. Do-a-Dot markers are very fun and engaging for young children, they just love using these little paint filled markers to search for pictures on their bingo mat!
Next, you’ll want to demonstrate how to listen to the bingo caller, then how to search for a particular image on your bingo mat and cover it with a marker.
You may need to demonstrate how to play bingo for your children a few times before they really start to get it. But once they catch on to how the game is played, it’s full-steam ahead!
Finally, start playing and let the fun begin!

Getting Christmas BINGO Ready
Christmas Bingo Black And White Printable Pdf
Print Christmas BINGO boards (Color or Black & White), laminate and cut using a paper trimmer. BINGO boards can either be cut on outer black line or left as is. Also, cut teacher calling cards. Gather manipulatives for students set and place in a plastic baggie. This makes it super easy to store year to year. It’s a great game that kids will enjoy playing over and over again throughout the season.
Everything is ready to go – all that is left is playing with your students! You can easily sort your markers into small baggies to hand to each student. I love grabbing little holiday erasers to use as markers for Christmas Bingo since they are small and work for use over and over again.
If you want to give your students something, even more, to do as busy work, you can easily print them on black and white to allow your children to color in the images as they play the game. This is an ideal way to have them practice fine motor skills. They will love seeing their own unique take on the images, and you’ll love being able to give them something to occupy their time while they learn and have fun.
